Acting PD of Music Minor Program. Kris has received a Master in music from the Australian National University and a Doctor of Philosophy in violin performance from the University of Tasmania, Australia. She has extensive performance experience with international and well-known musicians such as Peter Tanfield, Christian Wojtowicz and Barbara Jane Gilby. She specializes in violin performance and string pedagogy. Her research focuses on contemporary violin music including works by George Crumb, Steve Reich, Philip Glass and Robert Davidson. Kris currently works as an associate professor of Music at United International College (UIC) where she designed the music minor program and where she has worked as UIC’s music studio manager. Kris wrote the song arrangement for the composition yilutonghang (一路同行), as part of a musical celebrating the 2015 10th anniversary of UIC.

Ip was born and raised in Macau. He was given piano lesson at the age of 10 and played clarinet in his college band when he studied in Yuet Wah College (Macao). After he finished his high school at 2004, he studied music composition under Stephen Wood, Alan Williams and Peter Graham in University of Salford and graduated as PhD Composition at 2011. Hundreds of pieces have been arranged for percussion ensembles, symphonic bands, orchestras and other groups formed by professional soloist. Soundtracks for theaters, films and documentaries, contemporary compositions were produced with cooperating music directors, conductors, producers, sound engineers, soloists, films directors, dance groups, choirs and popular music singers from UK, Zhuhai, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Hong Kong born pianist Jacqueline Leung is a laureate of the Antena 2 prize, awarded by the national classical music radio station in Portugal. Described as a player who possesses ‘musicality, intelligence and technical finesse’, recent engagements of concerto premieres, solo recitals, chamber concerts and lectures have taken her to 4 continents across the globe.  As a prizewinner and recipient of numerous awards and competitions, her performances and interviews have been broadcast on TV and radio in many countries and she has performed with some of the world's distinguished musicians. She has lectured and taught masterclasses at the Conservatorio del Tolima, University Juan N. Corpas, ABAC University of Thailand, Chualalongkorn University Princess Galvani Vadhana Institute of Music, USCI University in Malaysia and the Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong.  She also served as a jury member at the 2nd Thailand International Mozart Competition and the Japan Piara International Piano Competition (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Open Piano Competition and the 7th Borneo Performing Arts Festival.

Ms Cindy Xinxin ZHANG

Xinxin(Cindy) Zhang is an experienced Chinese pianist and piano teacher. She received her BA in Music Education from the Conservatory of Music, NENU and A Master of Music in Piano Performance from the famed Goldsmiths College, University of London. As a pianist, she has given piano recitals in China, England and the United States. In addition, she also performed as the piano accompanist at many concerts and worked with many great musicians such as the world well-known cellist Alexander Ivashkin and Metropolitan Opera artist Micheal Forest. As a piano teacher, she was the member of California Music Teacher Association and Virginia Music Teacher Association, many of her students won important piano competitions, and as well as some of her students are accepted by some leading conservatories around the United States.
